People of YouTube

In the world of YouTube people share and communicate through videos and the world responds to it by posting comments and video responses below the video.  When I searched around on YouTube for a while, I could find just about anything from people trying to share their skills and talents to people sharing their body transformations videos and while searching among those I came across, well just a bunch of random crud.

This is what people post of themselves...

Underneath videos is a comments section where people can post their thoughts about the video or it could be completely unrelated like most of the time it is. YouTube comments are more of a spamming place where people either hate, complain, or argue, or sometimes, someone is trying to advertise their channel or a product. I just got on today and the first video I checked out people were arguing about god on a music video that had nothing to do with god and those comments took up the whole page. Sometimes I come across some funny comments that people make like this girl typed “Iz yer nm pronounced "MAY-GON" or "MEH-GHAN"? and then someone responded with “can I throw a dictionary at you or…” You really can never tell what you’re going to watch or see. Lots of profanity and racism is used on YouTube comments section so it’s a very negative place, but can also be a positive place. I thought to myself who gets a lot of hate and the first person that came to mind was Justin Bieber, so I typed his name in and clicked on one of his videos and the top comment I seen was “Just came to dislike the video. Who else?” and it had 40 likes on the comment....

It is amazing what people will put on YouTube of themselves and for the internet for that matter. When browsing on YouTube I came across these girls that got drunk and were acting literally retarded and they posted it on YouTube for the entire world to see, very great idea…. I don’t know where people get the idea to post crud like the fat guy dancing in his underwear at home. I personally would never want to post anything like that of myself on the internet or even put it on camera, so it could potentially end up on YouTube. I’d say YouTube has it all, weird people, funny people, stupid people, angry people, and even people on meth.  It’s quite a crowd on their, and the conversations and social interactions are endless, so check it out.

  1. Hi,

I was surprised to hear about all of the negativity on YouTube. That's too bad. I understand that there are a lot of "crazy" people in the world, but who would have thought they would use YouTube to vent and take out their frustrations on others? I've seen a lot of really great YouTube videos that have been sent to me by friends and family. I look forward to hearing about the positive aspects in your future posts.
