Hello one last time for the blog and this class.
I would like to start off on saying that I was fairly stressed at the amount of things set in front of me at the beginning of the assignment and I didn't know where I was going to find the time to fit in an MMO in to my life as a college student and a parent. After having the experience and writing the final paper I must say that I am relieved and that I am happy with what I experienced over the past couple weeks. I learned first and foremost that I am not the only passionate gamer and that MMO gamers make their struggles and nitpicks with the game very vocal. With that though, comes people who are very kind most of the time and that try to help you learn your way around. The two guilds I got involved with really took their time to help me and my player grow, stopping to give me gear to make him better, and to also just hang out and talk about issues within the game or even issues that each person had personally.
It seems to me that MMO's are becoming a way for reclusive gamers to share a piece of themselves with like-minded people that are not going to judge them based on what they like to play or do in their free time and I think that is the main draw to MMO's. It is an outlet for people who crave social interaction, but have problems connecting with people in real life situations.
Mainly when I started this project, I would play my games in single player situations, with some multiplayer but I had only played one other MMO (World of Warcraft). I really wanted to understand the culture and after this project, I can say that I am starting to learn it, but a far way away from becoming an expert on the matter.
Looking forward to summer, and to finally getting my Sith character to level 50.
Have a great summer all and go play some Star Wars! Star Wars The Old Republic!!!

I'm happy that people were helping you in SWTOR. Many people in games don't always help each other out to make your characters better. Also I'm happy that you had a good experience with the game and hope that you continue your game play and in game experience over the summer.
