Getting aquainted with The Deviant Art culture:
I have not had enough time to really get into the culture. I have only skimmed the surface of what it's all about.
The connection that runs through everything I have delved into so far is art in some way. Some folks are just
there to connect to others with similar views and interests. Others are utilizing the site for business networking.
Still others are there to shop.
Art:
The amount of art uploaded onto the Deviant Art site is absolutely amazing. When I first logged on there
were millions of items to check out. Some of the art is just for fun, but there are quite a few very
serious artists that are utilizing the site to get exposure. Making a living as an artist is a challenge.
One of the cahllenges is exposure frequency, especially for female artist.

Artists:
Artists can get exposure for their work in an inviting atmosphere that respects the efforts of
the work of creativity. Instead of having people happening on their work by chance at a gallery or
business, their creations can be seen by anyone in the world 24 hours a day. Galleries can search
Deviant Art looking for an artist that they might not have had access to previously.
Members can chat with artists, commission work, buy work thats is already created.
It is a virtual wonderland of possibilities for artists.
I really enjoy this site. I think it is an important contribution to the art world.
I will cover my walls with the great stuff I find there.
