My personal experience with
Pinterest has so far been a GREAT experience. I have found myself on Pinterest way
too much though sometimes. I usually get on in the morning while I’m sitting at
Clark killing time before my 10am class, and then again when I get home from
getting my kids from school to unwind a bit before doing homework I am a very
crafty person already, and now that I have been on Pinterest I have found so
many more things I want to do. Doing or making crafts has always relaxed me, I
just wish I had more time to do them.
On Pinterest when you repin
something that someone has already pinned, you can add it to a board. A board
is basically like a folder where you can put your documents. You can create as
you please and name each board, so that has made it a bit more fun for me too.
I have a board named “Things I like but will prob never do!”, a board named “I
wonder if this really works??”, a board named “I need to try this!!” and a few
others. If you like you can see all of the boards I have created here on my Pinterest home page.
Also when you repin something you
can leave a comment about thing you have just repined. I don’t always add a
comment most times I just leave the comment that was already there. I also like
to find the original blog that the photo came from. Sometimes it takes a little
bit of investigation, but I almost always find it. Then I book mark the blog
page on my regular computer so I do not have to hunt it down again when I want
to make something.
On top of finding many crafty
things I have also found many recipes that I can not wait to try, and some
quotes I like and some photos of animals that I think are cute too. My 9 year
old daughter, who wants to be a fashion designer one day, loves to sit next to
me while I am on Pinterest and tell me the things she likes too, so I have
created a board called “Things Jessica Likes”. She thinks its funny when I repin
the things she likes. We definitely have different tastes in things too!
I am really glad I chose Pinterest
to report on for my final project. I love sharing things that I think are great
ideas and having other people (like my family and friends that are on there)
like them, or repin them themselves. I will most definitely continue to be on
Pinterest after this class is over. I can not wait to try so many of the things
I have repined. I have a lot of things to keep me and my crafty
daughter super busy this summer!!
